With young folks in mind, Susan VanderVeen wrote a story that brings wind power into an every-day child’s life. Illustrated by Betsy VanderVeen Rutz, Farming the Wind (© 2009 Susan P. VanderVeen) explores wind power from a child’s perspective. After the typical long search for a publisher, the author-illustrator team is very happy to have landed a contract with Raven Productions in Ely, Minnesota.
